Not too many years ago my chin broke out. It was really the first time in my life that I had experienced anything like pimples. All sorts of thoughts crossed my mind. Were my hormones involved, was I suddenly eating the wrong foods, was my body’s ph out of balance? I had no idea. Then a friend of mine said, “Oh, that area of the face relates to the intestine. Maybe you need to do a cleanse.” Well, that was an interesting suggestion and probably true.
I had been going through a lot of change in my life and the last thing to want to let go was usually my intestines. They had been sluggish and unco-operative for several weeks. Knowing the power of fiber and greens, I added a little more of both to my diet plus a secret another friend of mine shared with me—tea made from chaparral. Now chaparral is the same thing we call tumbleweed.
The tumbleweed is of course dried out and uprooted. My friend warned me about the taste but I wasn’t quite prepared for the flavor which was exactly like kerosene. Not easy to take but over the next few days I found myself becoming attracted to this flavor and also the results of drinking the tea. It promoted great movement which is what I wanted and this tea is what I take for the purpose of letting go.
