They often advertise anything using celebrity promotions, because after all if it’s good enough for a celebrity, it must be good enough for the general population. Yes, celebrities have more money. Yes, they have makeup artists and everything else to take care of every aspect of their lives. But does that make them any smarter or more qualified than the average Joe?
No, not really. Just like the rest of us, they have differing skin types, just like the rest of us there is no one size fits all policy, just like the rest of us they do have to deal with acne generally speaking at some point in their lives. The only big difference is that if they decide they like a product or rather to pretend they like a product, they get paid.
We know this in part because of all the products we’ve wasted our money on which were promoted by celebrities. For some reason, we continue to do it, and so the companies with some of the most worthless products continue to shell out the big bucks to get those celebrity testimonials to back their supposed acne fighting products. But the reality is that our money is wasted because somebody has to pay for those celebrity testimonials, and they will pay for that before paying for the actual product itself.
