Rosacea is not quite as common when you’re suffering through teenage acne or otherwise. In fact it generally occurs around the age of 30, and unlike acne, you generally do not grow out of it, and of course there is no cure, only treatments in general terms. It is a chronic disease, and there are several types of treatments that have been used to deal with it or at least attempt to do so.
However, the wrong cleaners, the wrong treatments, even those meant for rosacea, and otherwise the wrong skincare products can only frustrate and exacerbate the problem. For example, some have had quite a bit of success with chemical peels.
But many have found that only caused the same symptoms minus the bumps in most cases common to rosacea, so those they were trying to deal with in the first place. Many prescription options are the same way. Some would say it’s caused by a buildup of bacteria in the pores, and so these options that kill bacteria are generally highly effective. The trick is just finding those treatments that won’t make the signs and symptoms worse in and of themselves. And as it seems, that is far trickier for most than it should be.
